My internship is coming together, and I am being scheduled
into the different departments.
This has been my week.....
On Monday work continued on the house, and in the evening
we went to hear some guys in the church who play in a
band practicing.

On Tuesday, all the interns met up with Patricia
(who heads up the intern program) and had a meeting,
where we shared our heart for the year and our goals
for the internship. There are about 10 interns altogether.
After the meeting, Patricia took us all out for lunch
to a Chinese buffet, and after this was guitar lessons.
I am not sure whether to take lessons or to concentrate
more on the piano..... One of the interns is giving lesssons
so I may have a lesson every 2 weeks.

On Tuesday night Tania & I had our first meal on our new stove!!
It is great to have it! I cooked potatoes and carrots -
oh how I have missed the potatoes!
Andrew & Jont'ue joined us....... (below)

On Wednesday, the new interns had a meeting with Steve, the
Kids Pastor, and with Lisa, the Administrator.
I will be working with kids 0-5 on Sundays, and will be working
in the office every Thursday.
In the afternoon, I was in the House of Prayer for 2 hours and then
was child-minding while an event was running in the church in
the evening.

Today was my first day in the office!
I have been given the responsibility of updating the weekly
bulletin, as well as answering the telephones.
Lisa is sooooo nice and has been really helpful.
This is my updated bulletin!!

Tonight I helped out with Kids Connect which is from 6.30pm -
8.30pm every Thursday. There are about 12 kids that come and
we play games with them, sing songs, pray with them, teach them
and do craft. Tonight we were painting! It was messy!
But the kids all enjoyed it.

I am off to the House of Prayer in about 40 mins for my shift.
It really is such an amazing place.
Tomorrow is Youth, and House of Prayer.

THE WORK CONTINUES........

OUR FIRST NIGHT AT HOME!!

IMPROVISATION! This is Andrew, Tania,
Calun & Jordan. (Tania is who I am sharing the
house with - there are still 3 girls to arrive.)
:o)

I have moved into my new house!
After a lot of cleaning and scrubbing we are
finally in!
Evelyn & John came to visit today as they were
in London with friends this morning and were
passing through. It was SO good to see them.
They have been so kind and I really appreciate
them. John put my bed together, and hung
my pictures on the wall.
They also took me out for lunch, gave me
$50.00 of grocery vouchers and are coming
back in a few weeks to put shelves up.
Thank-you God for such amazing friends!

This is a photo of Calun, one of the interns
with Jubilee, painting at the House of Prayer
- is'nt it beautiful? There are some amazing
pictures which people have done - the wall
is covered!

We left the House of Prayer tonight at 11.30pm
- the temperature being -17 degrees.
When Jason tried to start the car - the battery was flat!!
Praise God for jump leads!!

Tomorrow night is the Youth Network, I'll keep
you posted on how that goes!

It is soooooo cold here right now! This is a picture of
the River Avon which runs through Stratford.
I walked into town today - temperature was
-19 with the windchill - it was freezing!!
But it looks so beautiful.......

Work has been coming on in our house.
This is Tania who is one of the 3 girls who I will
be sharing the house with. She is from New

Bunswick, Canada.

This is Andrew, who is helping out with the DIY.
He and his friend Jordan have been a great help
and have been working away all week.

The church looks like a giant snowball eh!!
This picture was taken from my back yard - the
house is really close to the church which is great.

Tonight I met most of the leaders from the church
at their weekly cell. They are really nice.
I am looking forward to getting to know them more.

I have arrived in Stratford! John, Evelyn & Amy drove
me to Jubilee Christian Fellowship (the church where
I am interning) yesterday.
I have had such a good time at John & Evelyn's place.
I arrived there 4 August, and left 4 February - exactly 6

months later. They have been so good to me and
treated me just like a part of their family. Thanks guys!

On Saturday night, we celebrated Amy's birthday which
is in February since I will not be there.
These are some pics....

We arrived in Stratford in time for the church service
and afterwards stayed for lunch.
Then I moved my mountain of 'stuff'
into the intern house.
The house is having some work done to it this week,
so I will be staying with the pastor and his family until
next Sunday.

This is my house - I think that my room is going to
be the one on the top right hand side.

The weather yesterday was pretty intense!
It snowed all day and it was really
windy, the
temperature getting down as low as -30
with the wind-chill factor.
Today wasn't so bad, but was probably around -15 to -17.
I spent today with Marta (who is also an intern, and
lives with the pastors, helping with their children).
Marta is from Sweden and I met her at TACF on the
School of Ministry. This is a picture of us together taken
last September. Look at my hair!!!

The kids are great fun - I love them already!
Today was a 'snow day.' Because of
the bad weather the school was closed. Marta & I
took the kids tobogganing - it was so much fun!
I have never done it before!
Tonight I visited the Stratford house of prayer which
Jubilee Church are very involved in - I will be
spending a minimum of 2 hours there every day.
I was there for about 2 1/2 hours.
It's purpose is simply to offer worship to God 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week! It is amazing hearing how young
people are coming and just wanting to stay in the
presence of God! One of the interns stayed all last night
and didn't want to leave this morning!

Anyways, I do not have my full schedule yet, I should
have that soon, I will keep you posted.
I start tomorrow at 10am and am off to the house of
prayer for a few hours, and then will be at the church
in the afternoon.
Where I am living there is wireless internet - after next
Sunday, am not sure what my internet access will be.....

Lots of love
:o)
