I am living in Canada with my friends Evelyn & John Brinkman who run a chicken farm. I came to Canada in September 2003 to go to the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship School of Ministry. I graduated 22.06.06 and after 5 weeks at home in Northern Ireland I am now back! Here are a few photos from my graduation.

I plan to stay with John & Evelyn until Christmas.
I have most mornings free and then I help out with the chores in the farm-house in the afternoons.
I have settled well into my new place. I am loving life on the farm. It really is like a piece of heaven on earth!
These are some pictures from the farm and of Evelyn, John, their daughter Monique and my friend Amy.

I arrived back in Canada on 4 August 2006. For anyone who knows me well, I am pleased to say that after many prayers, all my luggage made it! (although I did wear 7 tops, trousers and a skirt, 4 pairs of socks, a hoodie and my denim jacket to keep the weight down in my suitcase!) Also – remember that I wanted to bring my guitar and couldn’t – there is one here!! It has no strings and needs a good clean – but it is still a guitar! Praise God!
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PAST 3 WEEKS! (most of the moments include animals!)

This is Lucky the pet sheep. We have had such fun with her. Her mum was in the abbatoir being slaughtered and when she was dead, someone noticed movement in her stomach. He cut her open, and out popped Lucky (or Blessed for you Graham!). The staff were not sure what to do with her. To cut a long story short, our friend Nancy adopted her. She is the funniest thing ever! She hopped into Evelyn’s car and would not get out. We couldn’t resist this photo. Nancy sells corn from the front of the farm and the sheep is always there with her.

My friend Amy works in a boarding school about 30 mins from here. One of the teachers wives has SO many pets. Amy has got to know her and we visited last Saturday. She has 2 pet raccoons which were orphaned and she is raising them and training them to go back into the wild. They are so cute. The other pic is of me and her pet bearded dragon. There was also an iguana downstairs – it was massive!

If you haven’t guessed it – I love animals. There are 2 farm doggies here – Smokey and Aussie. Monique (Evelyn’s daughter ) and I gave them a bath yesterday. We were NOT popular!

This is my new church. It is Amy’s church in Port Hope which is about 30 mins drive from where I am living.
I really like it and have been going since I have arrived.

I met up with my friend Julie who I have not seen for years! She is originally from N. Ireland but is working for Teen Challenge in Wales. She was on holiday in Toronto and I met up with her and her mum in the Eaton Centre. We had a great day!

The past week has been really busy here at the farm.
Evelyn & John for the first time have opened their home to be used for a Healing & Wholeness seminar which started on Friday 18th and ended on Monday 21st. These are some photos from the week-end.
The main theme of the week-end was about becoming like Jesus in the way we act out our lives. Norma who was the leader taught us how to defeat the ways which we are thinking and thus behaving which are keeping us stuck in the past, and in defeat. I didn’t get to hear all the sessions but what I did hear was great, and really challenging.
One man who came – God really met with him in an amazing way – he looked so different when he visited the farm today to collect some things which he had left behind!

After everyone had left we cleared up and started to prepare the house for the next visitors – up to 7 were arriving on Wednesday. Evelyn & John have a vision for the farm to eventually be used as a healing retreat, and have been living out that vision for many years by opening up their house to the people God sends. They have a wing of their house which is only for visitors (I live in one of the rooms with Amy). This is my in my room!!

Amy was making some ‘pikelets’ which are basically a New Zealand pancake. They are SO good. I even got some personalised ones!

We now have some new guests in the house! We have Emma, Faith, Joseph and Charles from Taiwan.
George (front right) was visiting for the day, so he stayed for supper. I made us some traditional Irish Champ, with some veggies and chicken.
