Evelyn & I had a canning day on Saturday.
We bought some beets and a huge bag of tomatoes to make
pickled beetroot, chilli sauce and tomato soup.
We were cooking for 7 hours!
This is everything that we made - 6 jars of beetroot, 9 jars of chilli
sauce, 1 huge pot of tomato soup, 36 scones and a dessert for John.

On Saturday night there was the most beautiful sun-set.
This picture does not do it justice at all.
When I was taking the photo I could hear the wild coyotes howling in
the distance - it is a really strange sound.......

On Sunday at church there was what they call 'Soup Sunday'.
Everyone is invited to stay after the service and we all have
lunch together.
Amy had heard that there was a dog show on in Port Hope
in the afternoon and as we both are animal lovers we
headed down for a nosy.
We arrived before the show had started so the owners were
getting their pets ready - it was so funny seeing all these
dogs getting pampered. One lady and her friend needed
an extra pair of hands with their dogs, so
we helped out. These are the doggies below. They have no
hair on their bodies except on thier head and feet.
They felt so strange!

This is a Newfie - who sadly did not win - Ahhhh....
